Kochalk showcased his game as a puck moving defender whose game centered around his mobility and explosive skating. He’s a fixture of the Fox attack with his offensive presence. His lateral movement and ability to drag and put pucks to the net was exceptional whether he was trying to generate a rebound or find the back of the net. Really liked his shifty presence, and good habits of keeping his head up and on a swivel and timing his routes efficiently on offense and defense.

I liked the offense that Andrew Krochalk was able to provide from the back end, he was an agile skater who did well to maneuver the attacking zone and put himself in positions where he could receive the puck and quickly distribute it through openings in the defense. He had good vision and was able to ping the puck around with ease, making some impressive and risky passes out of the defensive zone to transition up ice. He was able to find openings for himself to step into and get some shooting opportunities of his own, but he was more of a playmaker and did well to create chances down low by exploiting the gaps in the defense. I think there is another level or two to his offensive game that maybe did not get a chance to shine through, but with his mobility, vision, and willingness to step into the fray I believe he could be very effective.
