Zephir is a player whose tools are more intriguing than his overall effectiveness, but he was still able to flash some high-end moments at times. When he was able to get the puck in space you were able to see speed and puck handling ability that allowed him to enter the offensive zone with control, push back defenders and get himself into enough space to fire shots off the rush. I noted some moments of intelligent playmaking in transition as well, utilizing a series of slip and drop passes to get pucks to teammates in space as he attacked defenders head on. He showed a bit of a physical side to his game in moments, especially below the offensive goal line where he looked to separate man from puck and create loose puck opportunities. He’s a bit of a project player, although I do see some serious room for development in a plethora of areas.
