Leduc is an undersized yet cerebral defender who is able to create advantages for himself using off-puck reads and tactical defending. He’s not much of a factor in board battles at this juncture of his development, but he was still able to kill plays both defending off the rush and the cycle by taking the right angles on puck-carriers and using his stick to dislodge pucks. On the offensive side of things, he wasn’t shy to jump into the rush at times, picking his spots wisely and activating as the trailing option that generated looks for himself from the high slot. While I do like the player and his intelligent approach to the game, it does seem like his development is dependent on how far his physical growth will take him; which will make him an interesting player to keep tabs on in the coming years.
