EVENT John Reid Memorial Tournament
He has such an athletic form to his skating stride which allowed him some of his better chances through the three games I watched of him. He had an early rush chance in game one and separated from the defender to build speed and try to open up the goalie and tuck it five hole. It wasn’t the only time he was winning puck races or beating defenders wide with momentum. He’s also able to spin away from pressure along the boards with quicker cuts and even stepped into a couple bigger shoulder checks in open ice. I think he was one of the most positively surprising players through the whole event for me as he led Yale in points with 6 points in 5 games. Honestly, rightfully so.
