EVENT N/A
I think what I’ve always appreciated about Jackson’s play is that he is calculated and uses his anticipation well to stay in good positioning all over the ice. It makes D to D passes easier, puck movement on the blueline easier, and doesn’t let players get a step on him defensively either with bursts of speed or lateral shifts. He does need to add a bit more power and muscle to his play in order to elevate it but I think his decision making and skating details make him certainly a projectable player moving forward. The skating is such a great foundation to build on.

EVENT John Reid Memorial Tournament
Beggs was a sturdy, reliable presence on the back end for BWC this tournament. He was really strong below his own dots and around the goal line, physically engaging opponents and using solid footwork to keep players wide. I also saw a few slick stick lifts to disrupt plays. He did a great job defending stretch passes, stepping in front of targets and intercepting them to maintain possession and keep pressure alive.

EVENT 2024 Elite U15 Canadian Crown
He did a good job seeing pressure coming and outlet around forecheckers to spur the break. He seemed to like to use his backhand to make little passes in motion to his wingers. Offensively, he intercepted a nice pass and roofed it in tight, as well as showed his full windup, heavy shot blast from the point. Overall, his pace and stride length are decent and he did a good job against top competition in closing out space on the wall and finishing with shoulder to shoulder timing. He was solid.

Game Information Bauer U15 Elite Invite: Burnaby Winter Club Academy vs Valley West Giants
It started when he stepped into the middle of the ice and had a full windup slapshot with proper balance and extension. I figured he had to be a 2010 birth year because I hadn’t seen anything about him to this point in previous watches. I like his give-and-go game in order to join the rush and drive the middle of the ice without the puck after outletting to the wings. There is a lot to work with and despite the light frame at this point, he can shoot with power.
