EVENT Hockey Manitoba Boys U16 POE Camp
I got to see a bit more of his navigation skills as a puck carrier against solid competition here. He can move laterally and use those crossovers to sense the pressure and adapt in spots. I think I liked his game the most when he was playing up tempo, engaged, and being a pest defensively as well as driving play through the middle. He can get even too aggressive in spots and finish hits with fervor. Some shifts it looked like he was only out there to hit and disturb. I think his pacing and his size stood out in every game that I watched though as a draftable player option as a player who can play different roles and be relied on defensively too.

Game Information Winnipeg AAA Hockey U15: Eastman Selects vs. Winnipeg Bruins Black
Liam Plett’s strong two-way game stood out as a center for the Selects. In the defensive zone, he supported his defensemen effectively, using an active stick to break up and intercept passes and win battles. He also demonstrated great awareness by covering for pinching defensemen and maintaining that position until the defender could get back. Although one miss coverage led to an odd-man rush and a goal against, Plett’s defensive contributions far outweighed that moment. His commitment to his role and his ability to adjust in-game were impressive.
