Bouchard was the most impressive draft-eligible for the Élites here in my viewings of them, finishing with 2 points 3 games and showcasing some intriguing offensive ability. He does possess a short stride which limits his ability as a puck-carrier, often relying on his teammates to get him the puck while he works his way into space. The positive parts of his offensive arsenal are his ability to see the ice and leverage his puck skills to create advantages for himself and his linemates by working his way to the middle of the ice. I thought his best work came playing the bumper position on the powerplay where he was able to jump in and out of open pockets of ice and flash the ability to receive passes in tight spaces and get shots off quickly. In essence, he’s a diminutive complimentary piece with good amounts of skill who can make things happen when space is offered to him.
