Duchense was more of a bottom of the lineup player for the Blizzard, but still managed to make positive plays for his team throughout the tournament. His reach advantage helped him get his stick into lanes in the defensive zone, nullifying cross-ice opportunities in the process. He was quite difficult to get off the puck in the offensive zone, shielding the puck and using his aforementioned reach to extend his touches and traverse around the perimeter. When he was able to get into space, he demonstrated strong shooting mechanics that allowed to puck to pop off his stick with velocity, even picking up a goal along the way.
