EVENT 2026 QMJHL Draft Final Evaluation
Projection: Top-Nine Swiss Army Knife
Strengths: Compete Level, Playmaking, Quickness
Development Opportunities: Strength
Guévin has been one of my favorite players to watch all year due to his tenacious off-puck approach in conjunction with some underrated amounts of skill and intelligence with it. He’s always looking to harass opposing defenders in the offensive zone, consistently driving his feet and forcing turnovers to win back possession. He’s incredibly shifty and evasive with the puck as well, often leveraging his footwork to create space for himself along the wall before sending a pass to a dangerous scoring area. Despite his lack of size, he certainly isn’t shy to work his way into scoring area, often taking on larger defenders and winning inside positioning using his low center of gravity to pounce on loose pucks or rebounds in prime scoring areas.
The obvious downside to Guévin’s profile is that at 5’7 and 134 lbs he may be too small, even for junior hockey standards. Obviously, you can see that hasn’t wavered me on his potential one bit, as I think with how intense he plays he’ll be able to overcome his size deficiencies. He’s also a mid-December birthday, making him nearly eligible for the 2027 QMJHL Draft. There’s plenty more developmental runway here.

EVENT 2025 CCM Challenge
Recently coming back from injury at this event Guévin didn’t skip a beat, finishing tied for the team lead in points with 5 in 3 games. The pace in which he plays makes it hard for any defenders to read him and predict what he’s going to do, as he’s able to consistently thread pucks to the middle while operating at top speed which helped create a plethora of chances for his linemates. He connected on a handful of impressive low to high one touch feeds in the offensive zone by using shoulder checks to assess his options and make a decision prior to his puck touch. Despite his size limitations he certainly doesn’t shy away from physical contact, particularly off-puck where he was consistently getting himself to the front of the net looking to deflect pucks from in tight or pounce on rebounds when they presented themselves.

Game Information M18 AAA Québec: Séminaire St-François Blizzard vs Trois-Rivières Estacades
Guévin’s high-end effort level and willingness to get himself to prime scoring areas were the key to his hat-trick performance in this one. He got his team on the board in the first period on the powerplay, skatng himself to a backdoor spot and winning inside positioning on a larger defender to free his hands to redirect a hard pass into the back of the net. His second goal came in similar fashion, as he outmuscled a defender to pounce on a loose puck in the slot and was able to get two shots off in quick succession before the last one found twine. His speed and work ethic were critical in setting up hi teams late tying goal in the third period, winning a race to a loose puck on the forecheck which allowed his team to gain possession and set up a play in the offensive zone.
