I’ve watched Jett many times already this year but I think this was the game for me where it all became clearer what kind of player he is trying to be and where the potential is. I honestly thought he had a tremendous game whether it was winning faceoffs, showing speed up ice, battling for pucks and completing strong snap passes, or just being that player to drive pucks through a few layers. He was so determined to be evasive and look to cause chaos that it felt impossible to get pucks around or through him. I loved the defensive poke checks to turn plays around, his cycling and ability to control while surveying options, and an excellent shot off a cycle as he stepped into the middle. He had one chance I wish he could finish off as space was created for him but overall he was a well needed and well showcased forward in this game for NAX.

While I didn’t find him controlling the puck all over the ice and dominating the transition portions, he was extremely effective and shifty in key offensive moments. He showed he can change pace and cut to the interior, change his angle of attack with delays and cuts, and shoot from behind his hip pocket. His goal in this game trickled over the line with an impressive approach to it all. I think there is some strength and speed to continue to work on to maximize those moments more often but his approach and process is positive for sure. He had another nice toe drag move in the slot later on too.
