I noticed right away the smooth skating ability and the full length to his pushes. I think he moved very naturally for a player with size already. I still think there are levels of strength and explosivity to his bursts he can uncover too which is promising. Regardless, he was solid at applying pressure without the puck and using his size to be in multiple plays. The most impressive moments though was the skill with the puck as he controlled passes off his skates, shot back heavy against the grain, and wound up for a bigger slapshot too. He can hold the puck for longer moments until prime slot chances or wait extra seconds to make plays work. I think that offensive maturity and quality teammates are good reasons for why it works fairly consistently. To start the year, I can see him as a top-3 round player in the upcoming draft.
