2022 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge: Canada Black vs USA
Seeing plenty of the powerplay time, Tomas Lavoie was pretty heavily involved in the offense in this contest and looked good while doing it. His ability to get his point shots through traffic and on goal to test Kempf and create rebounds was good. He skated well at the point and was able to keep the puck away from the pressuring defenders as he used his size and long reach to keep the puck at a safe distance while he navigated through the offensive zone. He distributed the puck well and he and Sam Dickinson were two of the main players on the powerplay tasked with creating space with their vision for the forwards to take advantage of. Defensively he used his size and skating really well as he was able to cut off players attacking down the wing and ride them into the boards and win the puck and coolly skate away with it.
