A dynamic player whose speed up the ice and ability to quickly put the brakes on and wire a shot to goal is something that entices coaches, and Jacob Jett has those capabilities. His quick acceleration sees him reach top speed in a short time and once he’s wheeling up ice his head is up and he’s looking to either pick out an incisive pass or decide when the opportune time for him is to cut inside and uncork a wrist shot. He’s hungry on the attack and loves having the puck on his stick, but he also excels in his movement off the puck and putting himself in a position where he knows he can receive the puck again to make something happen. He has some solid core and lower body strength that allows him to fight through some checks, his speed also makes it tough to hit him square, but he is still a bit on the smaller side. His ability to scan the offensive zone and analyze the situation is strong and he makes intelligent plays as a result.
