This was Jacob Monks’ best game that I saw at the tournament, he showcased his speed and strength in this one and was a pretty effective forward at times when his team looked a little sluggish. He was strong in the defensive zone, shrugging players off the puck and coming away with possession, using his speed to lead play up the ice and look to set up in the offensive zone. He skated hard and was able to drive to the center of the ice where he showed good patience with the puck on his stick as he mulled over his passing options.
