By continually adjusting his position away from the puck Christopher Thibodeau was able to find himself wide open at the side of the net for the opportunity that got his team on the board. The speedy centreman had a couple of impressive utilizations of his mobility in transition throughout this game. He has very quick feet that helps him to break out speed on a whim and catch his opponents off guard. I would’ve liked to have seen him introduce a bit more lateral movement when handling the puck in transition. As a centreman he tended to hold the puck a lot in transition, but doing so in the middle of the ice can be a pretty intimidating and challenging task. I think he might have a better chance to make a more consistent impact by utilizing his speed on the wing.
