A surprisingly quiet series from Reschny when other cerebral centres like Desnoyers and O’Brien showcased remarkable smarts and play facilitation. Reschny was not always visible on the ice, but he still had his fair share of net front chances, clean exit passes from the defensive zone, nice work through the neutral zone and evasion along the boards. He saved his best sequence for last as he got the CHL team a well-earned win, throwing a pass to the slot from below the goal line, working to retrieve the puck, swinging out in front and burying the most important goal of the game.
