Scouting Report
EVALUATEDKeith Fries
Regional Scout - Western-Midwest USA
I have Frank listed as a Sniper because he can absolutely bury it. But, he’s more of a hybrid Sniper/Playmaker; an offensive magician! Although he’s likely to remain a sub-six-foot player, even as a pro, Frank fits the billing of a bulldog. Gets after it. Defensively, he gives the opposition little room to operate, following them like their shadow. Frank is a fantastic skater who can absolutely fly! If he’s trailing the play, no problem; he can get there. It’s not just that he’s fast, he’s nearly untouchable. Very good edges. Some would say his offensive gifts, be it passing or shooting, are his best attributes. Or, maybe his skating. But, Frank’s work ethic and compete are just as noticeable.

Huge huge huge Colin Frank fan. The kid competes. Works hard in all three zones and is deadly on a breakaway. Very stong on his skates and has a work ethic that you cannot teach. His compete and work ethic is what will take Frank very far in the hockey world. A kid who down the road will be able to play up and down the lineup. Moves the puck and is dynamic on the wing. His best asset is he is a very strong skater that can get hard on his edges and accelerate at a quick pace to get to top speed. Burns opposing dmen with his speed and brain. Buys time for a trailer and is someone who will be a great player on the national team or a highly touted Phase I USHL draft pick. Frank is a player who isn't even close to his ceiling.
