The first period was Boston’s best one in my opinion, and the play of David Bosco was a big factor in that. He scored the first two goals for his side and his tireless work in the offensive zone to find openings and drive right into them led to the creation of quality chances. He was able to find a path to the slot on several occasions and let loose his heavy shot, the manner in which he scored his first goal. He made great reads on which areas of the ice to attack and he changed up the pace of play and used his body to protect the puck as he was able to wind his way around the zone and bide his time before making his next move. He was eager to attack head on and use his speed and skill to get past his man and access the passing lanes in behind. He was among the offensive leaders on his team in this one and put forth the kind of game I have expected to see from him.
