Alex Annun
Regional Scout - USA
His play in transition as a puck carrier was strong, he did a nice job gaining possession in his end and escorting the puck up the ice with minimal pushback. His long strides allowed him to take space quickly and get in front of the pressuring forecheckers, and he had solid edgework to go with those strides so that he could easily adjust his skating path to avoid players looking to close him down. His edgework was equally important in shaking off players looking to force him to turn the puck over in his own zone, but he remained poised and was able to gain a bit of separation before moving the play up ice. He stuck well with puck carriers through his sound skating ability and maintained a close gap that he was able to quickly close down and engage physically to eliminate the threat.
