Waddick is one of the best players in the class at navigating traffic. His combination of patience, hand strength, and hand quickness allow him to puckhandle through traffic with ease. He positions the puck very well, holding it in the pocket and showing the awareness and intelligence to place his body between the attacker and the puck. His skating form is excellent, with a long, wide stride and his head up. He consistently looks to drive the middle of the ice and shows an ability to get off the wall. His playmaking is excellent thanks to high-end vision. While he’s likely more of a playmaker, he does get into the high-danger scoring areas. Expect Waddick to be a top-six forward.
