One of the top players on a strong Quinte team. He possesses a real nose for the net and is constant scoring threat. He is very good at finding the soft spots in the o-zone and ripping a nicely placed shot on goal. Rang one off the post from the slot in this game. While he did not score in this game it is evident that he owns natural goal scoring ability. Had lots of success scoring timely goals at OMHAs a week ago and during the OHL Cup round robin/quarterfinal. High offensive upside at the OHL level.

One of the top players for the Quinte Red Devils, Ethan Toms was one of the most effective play drivers for Team Red. He made an amazing no-look backhand pass through 3 bodies to a man in front leading to a quality scoring chance. The pass was calculated and all despite that he was looking the other way, as Toms’ hockey IQ and awareness was put on full display. His quick feet and powerful stride made him a handful as he streaked down the wing and cut towards the middle, as if you were to attempt to step up on him you practically must make contact with him or else, he would burn you like he a few times to defenders in this game.

Toms has been back and forth between the Oshawa Generals and Pickering Panthers a lot this season, and for good reason. At Gens orientation camp in the spring, he was the best player on the ice not named Beckett Sennecke. Toms high end speed mixed with his quick and accurate shot makes for an exciting player to watch for. He plays well in all 3 zones and is defensively responsible. He never takes a shift off and can get the puck for his teammates and create space for scoring chances whenever he is on the ice.
