Gabriel was one of the most active defenders for Team White. He always wanted to jump up in the rush, support the attack, and be properly positioned to receive a pass. In one of those sequences, Simpson activated to spark a 4-on-2 rush, received a pass and then hit an open teammate net front who buried home the feed. Similarly, rarely was he static in the offensive zone, as Gabriel was constantly rotating around, looking to sneak into the slot and back door to be available for passes. It's only one area of the game, but defenders who smartly activate in the right moments are the ones that always catch my eye.
