Event
2nd to 3rd Round
Coming out of last season, Noah Cziment was one of the more talked about prospects in Eastern Canada. His ultimate decision to attend Mount Academy resolved much of the buzz after returning from Shattuck St. Mary’s boys prep. Cziment is an offensively gifted forward who can quickly be recognized for his quickness, and willingness to attack the middle of the ice with the puck. While I wouldn’t credit him with a perfect technical shot, I think his ability to maximize contact and accuracy from awkward angles and with unexpected windows is equally, if not more valuable. His tendency on the forecheck is to get into the offensive zone first and apply maximum pressure with the use of toggled stick position and aggressive agility. I believe that because of the way he likes to play, and how he finds success it will be more important for him to add size and strength than it will be for other players of a comparable size. Because of his surplus speed, there will be a fine balance in how much bigger he can get before his speed is compromised. Working to maximize his shooting opportunities by playing increasingly more engaged without the puck will go a long ways to helping him sustain an offensive impact as others catch up to him technically.

2022 USA Nationals Semifinal: Rochester Saints (3) vs Shattuck St. Mary’s (4) (SO)
Noah Cziment was another middle-6 option for the Shattuck who was relentless and dangerous all game. He scored their first goal of the game to get them back in it by being in-and-around the crease, fighting for positioning and standing his ground. Come the third he picked up steam and was seemingly getting a scoring chance every time, he was on the ice. Like so many of the Shattuck skaters, Cziment is a quick skater with good outside edges, enabling him to make tight turns with the puck buying himself space. His defensive game was on point on top of his solid offensive play. Covering the slot and just being a general responsible centerman who covered his respective man.

2022 USA Nationals 14U Game Recap: Nashville Jr Predators (3) vs Shattuck St. Mary’s (7)
Noah Cziment was one of the most productive scorers for Shattuck in this game, really making an impact in the latter stages of the game. His well-developed skating and puck skills let him contribute to the offensive zone cycle and make a real impact. He was able to avoid aggressive stick checks and moves by defenders, enabling him to create space and attack the net as a result. More often than not he was on the right side of possession, playing an integral role in Shattuck’s dominance and puck movement along the wall; he was very hard to contain and strip of the puck due to his vision and awareness of his surroundings. He scored 2 goals in the victory, one of which being an empty netter and the other extremely late in the game as he capitalized on a 2-on-1 rush that he had created by knocking the puck loose at his defensive blue line.

14U Game of the Week Post-Game Report – #1 Shattuck St. Mary’s vs #2 Chicago Mission
One of the most noticeable forwards for his team in my eyes, Noah Cziment was all over the ice with and without the puck. His speed made him a threat off the rush as he would draw defenders in due to the threat of him attacking open ice unprovoked, ultimately opening up ice for his teammates to take advantage of. His awareness of what was going on around him was excellent, always in the right spot defensively he could pick up passes and strip players of the puck and seamlessly transition to offense by connecting on a quick breakout pass to a streaking teammate. Cziment picked up an assist on the game-tying goal as he took a low shot on net from the half-wall as he saw Wyatt Cameron unchecked in front, leading to a deflection goal.
