This was probably the best I’ve seen Reese Tracy play to this point, he was absolutely electric for his team, showing excellent speed and control as he carried the puck, executed flashy moves through traffic and drove play to dangerous areas of the ice, making everyone on his line better as he got his entire team involved in the play. He set up plenty of great chances to the slot with wickedly quick reads, with only a split-second to react to an opening he found a way to thread a perfectly placed pass to the open man in between the dots to tally an assist on a goal. His vision, quickness to execute, and processing were some of his greatest strengths. From any area of the offensive zone he was a weapon, one of his better-looking assists came from the corner of the offensive zone on the backhand, noticing a lane in front of the net was open, he sent a great pass to the middle to set up a goal. Aside from his agility and his display of dancing around bodies with the puck, a lot of his chances came as a result of good effort getting engaged physically, moving his feet to take away lanes, and battling for pucks, ultimately coming out on top, giving him the split-second edge to make a play with position on his opponents. He found some success in the goal scoring department as well by going to the net, once more battling for ice and those second chances, and getting his stick on pucks as a result and having the delicate touch in tight to capitalize within close quarters.

Reese Tracey was another Florida Alliance skater who brought their best today, and once again, probably put up the best individual performance I’ve seen of them to this point in time. Tracey was all over the puck making nifty plays in tight and under pressure, slipping around traffic and pressure with ease, getting creative with his maneuvers, and showing off great evasiveness, agility, footwork, and puck skills. His ability to defer pressure, spin away and make a play coming out of his turns allowed him to hit teammates with quick heads-up passes, one of which early sent Harrison Hecker on a partial breakaway after hitting him on a cross-ice pass spinning away from contact in the neutral zone. His fluidity to his moves, puck movements and the ability to create give-and-go sequences, keep his feet moving, attack defenders head on, and get his linemates involved ultimately opened up some scoring chances for himself as well, finishing off intricate passing plays with a nice whippy wrister on net. Immediately after the 1-1 tying goal Tracey almost made it 2-1 Florida with a beautiful move to the inside of a defender, pulling the puck through their legs as they aimed to pivot to keep pace, and created a lane to the net for himself. The dynamism, pushing of pace of play, and skillset put on display by Tracey was something spectacular.
