Scouting Report
EVALUATED 09/09/2020TPE Hockey
Despite still playing for Shattuck St. Mary’s rather than in juniors, Scott Morrow has made a big impact on scouts ahead of his 2021 draft year. He commanded the game from the blueline with a cerebral passing game and dynamic skating. His fleet footwork allows him to dance the line and position himself to make acute passes into dangerous areas. When pressured with the puck Morrow’s edgework gets him out of sticky situations and into a scoring chance. He can make quick passes to daze the defense, or hang on and maneuver with the puck until he sees a better opportunity. The Connecticut native can also jump into the slot or tops of the circles to put the puck in the net himself which allowed him to score 22 goals. He scored the fourth most goals on the stacked Shattuck Prep team from the blueline. Morrow also plays an aggressive defensive game. He keeps an active stick to take pucks off guys on the rush with a quick pokecheck. The NoDak commit shuts down play quickly in the defensive zone and makes the transition to offensive play for his team. Morrow is a capable two-way defender who’s combo of size, mobility, and cerebral play make him a surefire college hockey star.
