Sean Miller is an extremely industrious player and he brings an explosive level of offensive to his game as well. His pressure forecheck is very effective as he gets his stick on the puck well and engages physically to knock the puck loose and get on the puck quickly. His ability to pick out passes as players crash into scoring areas is good, and he is patient on the puck so he does well not to force plays and is content skating around the zone and waiting for plays to develop organically. He can dictate the pace of play, utilizing his speed to attack hard in transition or taking up almost a quarterbacking role in the offensive zone to really control the flow of the game. He reads the game well and does a nice job timing his passes to hit tight windows and create dangerous opportunities for his team. He does a nice job of deciding when and where to shoot the puck, picking some awkward angles at times to keep goalies honest and make sure they aren’t prematurely defending the pass given his playmaking tendencies. He’s a player I quite enjoy watching and I expect teams to find plenty to like about his game.
