2024 USA Hockey 15O National Championship - Los Angeles Jr. Kings vs Mount St. Charles
A strong game of really subtle plays that allowed his team to succeed, William Bent found his name on the scoresheet a few times against the Kings. He was able to win an offensive zone faceoff that allowed Glance to open the scoring, bearing down low and getting physical to win the puck backwards after briefly being tied up. He showed some nice hands and made some slick one touch passes that caught defenders off guard and allowed his linemates to slip in behind virtually uncontested and get great opportunities. He potted a pair of goals and was able to get himself in good areas, made sure to follow up for second chance opportunities, and got in the shooting lanes to provide screens and get his stick on the puck. He didn’t necessarily “wow” me but it was pretty consistently that I found myself rewinding plays to see where they stemmed from and it was a good William Bent decision that I was able to trace it back to.
