EVENT 2024 OMHA Showcase
Pszeniczny was the primary controller on this NOHA team. He’s a powerful skater, and I thought that was the core of his success. Transitioning the puck up the ice was so easy, given that he could gain a step on defenders with just a few explosive strides. He managed the puck well, always making the right decisions, and it all just worked together to make Adam a crucial part of NOHA Red’s transition game. All of this has been my assessment of his game across many viewings now, and what has me thinking that he could be a projectable player to the junior game worth keeping an eye on.

EVENT 2024 Toronto Titans Tournament
After an impressive showing back at the Draft Day Showcase, I knew Adam was a top player to watch on this Soo side, and I wasn't disappointed with his performance. While the Soo didn't have a dominating showing in the games I watched, Pszeniczny was the primary engine behind so much of their offence. The core of his success revolved around his powerful skating and tactical puck handling, which he combined time and time again to carry the puck up the ice with control and be the leading flow-through man in transition on his team. In open ice, Adam was difficult for defenders to contain, as Adam could effectively chain together lateral skating moves and crafty handling to problem-solve himself out of any pressure defenders imposed on him. Within the offensive zone, he was the one commanding sequences, controlling the play for extended periods and routinely spotting open teammates in the slot quality scoring changes. While his main impact was as a puck transporter and playmaker, Pszeniczny found the back of the net twice in my viewings, scoring a tip on the powerplay and finishing a backdoor 2-on-1 pass from Watts. Evidently, it was a terrific performance for the Greyhound captain, and he cemented himself as a notable player that I need to keep a close eye on over the season and someone who should eventually crack my OHL Draft rankings.

EVENT 2024 Draft Day Showcase
Without a doubt, Pszeniczny was the most impressive player on the Northern Ontario squad. The element that shined the brightest in Adam's game was his puck management and decision making. No matter where he was on the ice, I found him to constantly be processing the situation correctly and spotting the correct route to advance the play-up ice or into the scoring areas. Even if he was under pressure, Pszeniczny showed he could escape defenders with tactical touches, navigate in and out of checks, and just overall combine smart decisions and puck touches to be challenging to contain. This skillset helped him all over the ice, namely, to find ways to enter the offensive with control or to open up time and space to thread pucks to the slot area. So often, he made little moves with the puck or used delays to create separation from defenders and then spotted teammates for scoring chances. He had a handful of scoring chances, but mainly his puck management and playmaking game created the vast majority of his value, landing him as his team's primary standout. The Northern Ontario team struggled to create scoring opportunities in some of their matches against top-tier competition, but Adam was the one I felt was consistently making things happen every game. It's easy to let the Northern Ontario circuit stay out of sight, out of mind during the scouting season, but Adam will give me good reason to keep tabs on the Soo Greyhounds, as he should be someone who competes for a spot on my list.
