Game Information GTHL U16: Mississauga Senators vs. Toronto Red Wings
Every time he came over the boards, Arjun Nanubhai showed off why he is considered a top prospect for the 2026 OHL Draft. He is a cunning player who plays confidently, using his high end skating and puck skills to move up ice with possession. He has good agility, allowing him to walk past opponents and take different routes to attack. These were all on display here as well as his on-ice vision being able to see passing lanes and make quick reads and reactions to play around him. It felt like every shift he was also taking a shot on goal, trying to help out on offence and create chaos for his opponent. He showed a lot of strengths as an offensive creator, pushing play for his team up the ice and inside his O-zone.

Game Information GTHL U16: October Evaluations
Nanubhai was the primary creator for the Senators in this match. He used his speed and explosivity really well to push defenders back and create space for himself. Arjun was constantly going, beating defenders with his raw acceleration, and driving chance after chance for the Senators. He made most of his impact as a passer, adding two assists, always scanning his options and moving pucks to teammates in scoring positions. I thought he did a great job of fending off pressure, using delays or deceptive handling to create space, giving him plenty of passing lanes to thread pucks through. Another really strong performance from one of the top players in the Ontario 2010 class.

Game Information 2025 Toronto Titans Tournament
Arjun was always going in the two Sens games I watched. Playing that non-stop, push the tempo, energizer game that I’ve highlighted a few times previously. He was hunting down pucks, aggressive on the forecheck, and just always going. With the puck, Nanubhai was highly confident, playing an assertive style where he always wanted to command puck touches, dictate the tempo of the game, and be the primary flow-through man when he was on the ice. He dominated in transition, carrying pucks through the neutral zone with no risk of being closed down, and upon entry, showed some impressive flashes of playmaking to thread pucks all over the offensive zone. The top of the class is an interesting one and I am nowhere near ready to make definitive claims, but Arjun is rightfully in that mix for a potential top 5 ranking.

Game Information WSI: East Coast Kings vs. Draft Day Red
Nanubhai had some really promising moments showcasing some of the tools he has in his game. He just seemed really tactical, always skating with his head up and reacting well to oncoming threats to dodge and skirt pressure. Arjun had that blend of creativity and confidence that made for a few exciting flashes where he craftily problem-solved his way out of danger and kept play flowing up ice. While it didn't amount to many chances, his small-area handling and powerful skating to go with his frame, made for a solid first impression.

I became quite the fan of Arjun’s play throughout these games as he has speed, balance, high tempo, execution, puck control, and the ability to attack defenders one on one and get the best of them by pretending defenders are pylons. He clearly works on a lot of stickhandling drills through defensive triangles to be at that high level of comfortability. He had a rush drill, faked lateral passes to open the goaltenders' posture up, and really spent a lot of effort making sure the puck control was on point and defenders couldn’t reach it. I think he has all the skills to be one of the top players out of Ontario in this grouping. His decision making, skills, and high pacing make him a dangerous option.

One of the biggest threats on this Canada team was Arjun Nanubhai, in my second viewing of him he once again proved to be one of the best players on the ice and had a hand in much of his team’s offense. His speed and agility as a puck carrier on the rush made him extremely difficult to stop, and once he was able to slip by the first defenseman he was able to find good passing lanes to funnel the puck into. He attacked defenders head on and had the flashy skill to be able to beat them, which he flaunted on a pair of gorgeous breakaway goals. He showed patience on the puck and an ability to change up the pace of play to give the attack a different look as he was able to take up a playmaking role. His speed was an effective tool on the forecheck that he used to hunt players down and pester them, and he displayed a bit of physical play that was nice to see from him. He plays the game at a high speed and looks very confident handling the puck at that pace, which can torment defenses.

The biggest offensive threat that I saw from Canada 2’s team was Arjun Nanubhai, his quick decision making and ability to deceive opposing defenders with the puck on his stick opened up a number of doors for him as a playmaker. He was effective in possession and pushed the pace of play as he drove at the defense, stick handling well to open up passing lanes that he was able to take advantage of. He operated as a dual threat and did well reading the defense and baiting them into guessing whether he would pass or shoot and then reacted accordingly to earn the best possible chance. He generated good power on his shots and he was disciplined in his shot selection as well. He was a strong creator of offense and continually put himself in positions where he could get on the puck and make a difference.

Another excellent showing for Arjun as he was able to receive a pass on a 2on1 and elevate it in tight over the goaltender. It was an excellent shot placement to get the team going early on. As the game wore on you got to see more evidence of his patience, control, and ability to use stutters and quick turns along the hall to evade pressure and find passing lanes to the slot. There was some outside-in attempts off the rush, moments of finding the trailer pass, and little touch passes to himself when players attempted to close too recklessly.
