EVENT 2024 Whitby Silver Stick
Lammens was one of the standout performers at the Silver Stick. I mainly noted him for his assertiveness with the puck on his stick, showing confidence to rely on his handling to attack the dangerous areas and spark chances. When he was on the ice, play was flowing through Lammens, he was the one controlling the puck, advancing play up ice, and just simply being the guy on the Red Wings. His handling enabled him to problem-solve his way out of danger, deceive defenders, and drive incredibly positive results. He showed some passing flashes, but I thought he thrived through his ambition to carry pucks into the dangerous spots on the ice, attack the center lane, and blast pucks with his powerful shot from premier shooting locations. Brenner scored a handful of goals for the Red Wings through his shot, was easily their leading offensive creator, and was the primary reason they went on a run to the championship game.

EVENT 2024 Toronto Titans Tournament
Brenner only played in one of the Red Wings games I watched, but he looked solid in that one game, so I wanted to mention him despite having more notes on other Red Wings. There were just some impressive flashes where he used quick and tactical handling to dodge pressure and spark some scoring chances. He relied on his hands to maneuver his way out of a check, create space, and then move pucks to teammates in the slot area for some premier scoring chances. Brenner scored off a tip in the one game I saw of him, but it was mainly this handling and passing game that made him stand out. Evidently, my sample on Brenner wasn't large, but I'm curious how he looks in future viewings of the Red Wings, as the little I saw was extremely positive.

Game Information GTHL U16 Playoffs
Lammens was arguably the best player on the ice, making everything happen for the Red Wings. He was a hound on the forecheck, battling for loose pucks, and just doing everything he could to win back possession. Once he had the puck, Brenner was difficult for the Jr. Canadiens defenders to close down, as he was sturdy on his skates, relying on his frame to protect the puck and advance play toward the net. He added two great assists, which I could outline, but the persistent forecheck, puck protection and physical tools were what made Brenner's game so impressive. As I watch more of the Red Wings team, he's slowly making the case that he's someone I have a touch low on my rankings, and it wouldn't surprise me if, after the OHL Cup, he lands a bit higher than where I currently have him.
