I’ve always enjoyed his puck pursuit and his overall two-way play. He can show up in bigger moments both defensively and offensively. There were moments in the games I was watching where he was one of the biggest catalysts for Rink Kelowna simply by not shying away from physical play, taking pucks in straight lines, and shooting when the opportunity arises. He had a few low shots, can drag laterally when attacking through crossovers, and is willing to take a hit to make a play. I think his well-rounded attributes serve him well against different opponents.

The thing one might notice first off is how long his stick is. It is hard to miss when he’s extending his reach and trying to power around players wide through his crossovers. He got focused on protecting the puck wide and trying to power his way past players. He gives you enough of those angle changes and proper balance to his stride that he will take advantage of moments if you’re not ready to step up and challenge him. If you get into his space, it seems it makes him want to shoot earlier in sequences or delay on the outside to look for passes to the middle. My assumption from these views is that he’s certainly a shoot first player and they were looking for him as the prime option on the powerplay on the right side. He scored a beautiful goal off a smooth reception and fluid release. I think he’s a player who gives you a bit of that power, speed, and higher potential in the dynamism.
