A sub-theme of this write-up is Vaughan Kings, who exceeded my expectations, and Carter was one of those. After the first few views of this Vaughan team, I knew he was a player to watch, but the Silver Stick, he stood out as a top-end player available for the draft. The primary theme of my notes was the puck skills and confidence in his game, never shying away from an opportunity to dangle his way by a defender and try to attack the middle of the ice. He was beating defenders time and time again, winning zone entries and navigating his way to the center lane all through his handling. Lewandowski's combination of puck skills and shifty lateral skating, made him highly deceptive as a puck carrier, and he could access almost wherever he wanted on the ice as a result. These abilities inevitably put Carter on the scoresheet for the Vaughan Kings, which is always nice, but I was just mainly impressed by the raw skills and how eager he was to rely on them to maneuver his way by checks.
