EVENT 2025 WHL Draft Final Evaluation
Strength: Hockey IQ, shot/pass timing
Development Opportunities: Skating stride
Chayse’s game is filled with positive decisions on the puck and purposeful efficiency on the PP. He seems to always find the right moment to shoot or the proper timing to feed a lateral pass in the zone. Tactically, you can see how his game can be molded and shaped for play at the next level. When you’re looking for someone who is focused on feed pucks into the interior and getting the best of his teammates, Chayse is a great option. He’s a player who looks to really lean on his edgework and possession play rather than being that true all situations defender because of a shortened skating stride in straight forward bursts. If you’re wanting someone to run a PP and be a counter balance to a stay at home defender, Chayse is a great option.

EVENT 2025 John Reid Memorial Tournament
The main thing I took away from watching Chayse Fedoriuk in this tournament was how well he anticipated and timed plays. Defensively, he timed his pinches almost perfectly, catching opponents off guard or flat-footed while doing a great job getting his stick on the puck to disrupt plays before they could develop. Even when defending the rush, he stepped up on forwards near the blue line or kept them wide, waiting for the right moment to attack the puck or body. Offensively, his anticipation was just as sharp. H\e made numerous long stretch passes, threading tight gaps and hitting teammates in stride. He also did a terrific job timing his shots, waiting for screens to form before releasing or shooting for tips. In the team's opening game, two of his shots were redirected for goals. One of his most impressive plays came when he won a foot race to a loose puck in the neutral zone and dove to chip it ahead to a teammate for a breakaway goal.

EVENT 2024 Rocky Mountain Classic
The thing that is obvious about Chayse is his ability to think and see the game unfold in front of him. In these games, he was calculating when to pinch at the offensive zone blueline, when to close gaps on wingers even before the outlet passes were completed, and how often he was able to continue possession by doing these things for his team. In these games, his decisions were correct in how he could push into space or challenge players from a decision making perspective. He was also consistently trying to turn low danger situations into higher danger ones by finding ways to get shots on net with traffic, dump pucks into 50/50 areas when he was challenged so to avoid straight turnovers, and is very purposeful about his shot placements when he has the time and space to do so. It makes him effective on the PP and consistently someone you need to close space on. While he was able to score some big goals in important moments, I still think the overall pacing to his skating does lack a bit of explosion and power in moments and can leave him chasing the play defensively or not being able to fully break into the zone. The IQ is certainly high and if the skating stride can continue to gather length and strength, he could jump higher on the draft board.
