EVENT 2025 QMJHL Cup
There’s no denying that Anderson possesses some intriguing physical tools, flashing a strong skating and a lean build that allowed him to maneuver around the ice effectively and make him difficult to knock off the puck. His edgework allowed him to escape forechecking pressure on DZ retrievals on a consistent basis, making quick pivots to work his way into space and initiate the breakout. He made a few aggressive step-ups at the defensive blueline as well, opting to take a run at bigger forwards and kill rush plays before they could materialize. There were still some decision-making issues in his game, notably in the transition game where I thought he forced pucks into traffic on his outlets or skated his way into trouble that lead to turnovers. Despite this, there were still a lot of highs for Anderson here and I think he solidified himself as a legitimate QMJHL prospect.
