Thériault is a defender who relies heavily on his instincts to make a positive impact on the game. I noted a handful of times where he was able to generate looks for himself in the offensive zone by activating off the line and receiving a pass up high. In the neutral zone he was making smart reads to jump in front of passing lanes to pick off transition passes from the opposition and kickstart the counterattack for his team.
