I thought it was a really decent showing for him in these games as he was able to smartly pinch, attack with dual pass/shot lateral posture, and can use little fakes to make moves and drive in deeper. He was able to curl back around his own net and quarterback breakouts at his own pacing and show that same command on the offensive blueline. He can curl into positions on the point and snap low after driving in off the wall. I thought these games showed off a bit of versatility and efficiency he can have.

I noticed him quite a lot more in the second game compared to the first but my notes still showed him being aggressive to keep the zone, getting quality power through his turns and strong touch to elevate his outlet passes down the ice. What seemed to me to be his natural strength was that skating stride to pinch, give momentum into shots, and his ability to change pacing and adjust so that his stick pokes can be effective in early separation plays. I liked how quickly he was adjusting through pivots to close gaps on forwards trying to change paces on him. The second game got me very curious about the upside of his development.
