EVENT 2025 CCM 68 Combine
George is big, strong, fast, and capable of playing different styles as a support winger or a driving possession player. Pacing was not an issue for him at all as he showed great defensive efforts, good sticks to block passing lanes, and hard passes up ice. He came across to me as a solid, two-way grinder on a line; willing to be the first to pucks in the corner and adapt with physical play. I thought he did a good job opening his posture off the rush without the puck, looking to create laterally at times once he gained the zone, and showed he can pass in motion with accuracy on the forehand and backhand. The nice backhanded pass off the rush for an assist was testament. I didn’t notice many plays where he was attacking one on one or was really showing high-end finesse that some of his linemates had, but he was a compliment to their styles.

Set the tone with the first one. He attacked a loose gap, changed the shooting angle late, and beat the glove clean. After that he lived above the puck, available as the high option to keep cycles connected. Head up before every touch, good sense of when to drop low and when to stay as the release valve.
