EVENT 2024 USHL Fall Classic 15O
There wasn’t much the opposition could do once Triassi gained a full head of steam through the neutral zone. He was one of the more efficient South Kent forwards when it came to controlled entries into the offensive zone, where he was frequently able to turn around defenders and funnel pucks to the middle of the ice looking to create dangerous chances. He was even utilizing his teammates to create space for himself off the rush by dishing off, driving to an open area with speed and corralling passes while in motion to attack downhill and overwhelm defenders. Triassi could also use his hands to work his way around defenders along the perimeter, which allowed him to extend his puck touches and work his way to the middle of the ice to get shots off from dangerous areas. The overall skill level and confidence with the puck will surely make Triassi one to watch for the 2025 QMJHL Draft.

Game Information 2023 USHL Fall Classic 14U: Mount St. Charles vs WB Scranton Knights
Our first standout of this game was Jack Triassi of Mount St. Charles, on paper he didn’t do all too much in terms of production or even shots on goal and such, but some little instances of strong compete, sound decision making, and overall displaying a decent athletic package made him pop out to me. He was able on a few occasions to skate through crowds of two-to-three opponents, barrel his way through with great power and finesse, and come out on the other side in possession of the puck. With sheer strength, effort, and by keeping his feet moving, he was able to control the puck and slip into areas of the ice in which he likely shouldn’t have been able to get into. His work on the penalty kill was impressive as well. Forcing turnovers and skating with the puck, his strong twists and turns as he killed time handling the puck, forcing opposition to chase him around, once again flashing some nice puck handling skill along with overall strength.

Game Information 2023 USHL Fall Classic 14U: Mount St. Charles vs Long Island Royals
He’s got a long stride and long reach which comes in handy when making lateral plays in the neutral zone and matching tempo with linemates. He was front and center on a few odd man chances as he can stride north-south in a hurry as he propels himself up layers of coverage. He certainly wasn’t the prime player that they would flow the course of the offense through but those natural abilities did give him that extra time and space in important transition moments today.
