Sandhar is another Oakville defender who I noticed more in this viewing relative to the Titans Tournament. Jatan is a powerful and mobile skater who relied on his feet well to add value. Especially as a puck carrier, Sandhar was looking to activate, explode up ice, and impact the play. He combined his mobility with smart and tactical puck handling, skirting oncoming pressure with calculated puck touches to advance play through the neutral zone. While he had his fair share of completed passes, some of his passing was off the mark, missing on stretch passes for icing, but a minor hiccup in an otherwise solid showing. I came away thinking there's a lot to like about Jatan's game and someone I should pay a bit closer attention to over my next set of views of Oakville at the Silver Stick.

I don't have a ton of notes on Jatan, but I wanted to mention him as he had moments of being an effective puck mover from the back end. He connected on plenty of stretch passes, moving pucks up to his forwards, sparking odd-man rushes and counterattacks all through him constantly scanning down ice for his teammates. He had some moments of carrying the puck up ice with control, using his mobility to dodge attackers and keep play moving up ice. While it isn't the most raving review of his game, seeing these bits and pieces of solid plays made me think he's someone that I may notice more and more as I watch this talented Oakville team plenty of times this season.
