Kael was one of the more effective players for OHA Edmonton in games that saw low scores throughout. His size and strength against these teams allowed him a bit more spacing to stickhandle and attack in straight lines on entries, establish a two-way presence defensively, and gave him a bit of extra time to look for teammates and reassess with puck control. In the game against Calgary, he was trying to be a physical bully on the outside and was shielding the puck and moving it with his feet. He did get a couple moments to score but shot wide and waited too long to move into his release after a pass reception. There are good instincts and two-way purpose here which gives him his consistency.
