Liam makes a lot of little plays that are smart and well timed. He can pinch in the zone off the wall, use his length of stride and his engagement to be a difference maker in small plays, as well as dragging pucks off the well and to the middle to control the options. He’s got a decent release from the point and can spot shot lanes well if there is a screen. I really like the fluidity of his edges and I think he performs well when he’s moving through crossovers or cutting rather than straight ahead puck races. As an August birthday and smart processing, I think Liam is a fun player to keep an eye on.
