Against NAX, he had a few key faceoff wins, but he ended up with some mixed results despite that confidence and aggression that I love to see. At times he can drop his head off the rush under pressure and when closed upon he’s gotta try to shoot from further out. I think he’s at his best when he’s forechecking hard and finishing those smart positional body checks in order to stop opponents momentum. All the little tricks were evidenced through the three games I watched too such as shot fakes, lateral slip passes, dipping wide and centering passes after protecting, and those hard snap shots with solid accuracy. When you know he can shoot heavy or pull off some insane toe drag moves if pressured, it makes him more of a dual threat. While there are some things to clean up, he’s got a lot of individual skills that are gonna be highly sought after. He played hard, drove the net, and got some tough area goals too.

Out of the BWC forwards, Logan is the one where strength and power are kind of the tell tale qualities of his performance. You can find him up in the play as he’s being active and aggressive as a penalty killer, or gliding and circling back and forth in the slot area when others are being that F1 on the forecheck. He’s the kind of player offensively who isn’t afraid to take shots from further away in hopes that the shot power is enough to score from distance. Overall, I’d like to see him fire pucks less from these areas and try multiple ways to get in a bit closer. He’s got the capabilities of playing give and go with others and opening his posture to delay and find more options but he was often in that pure power mindset. His shot is powerful though as he gets a quality snap on the release. He had a couple really nice defensive moments in the neutral zone too as he can use that power and intelligence to map out angling on players trying to drive wide around him. His aggression and physicality shows well in those moments.
