EVENT 2024 Whitby Silver Stick
I've noted Magri previously for his fluid skating, ability to change direction and handle pucks in motion, all in his 6'1 frame. That was once again the theme, showing great flashes in tight, along the boards and in small areas, evading pressure with some slick skating mechanics and puck handling. This has been the theme in almost every viewing of the Rangers, but I thought he leveraged his skills more to drive positive results. Driving the net more, attacking the middle of the ice, and just generating way more scoring chances. He found the back of the net three times across my views of the Rangers, two of which were from finding space for a pass or a rebound, and the third was an impressive shot from a poor angle to beat the goalie short side. While the results were nice to see, the "how" behind it all in his mechanics is still the key for me and what keeps Macrus on my watchlist to keep a close eye on him.

EVENT 2024 OMHA Showcase
A clear theme of this write-up is Oakville Rangers who stood out at the Titans Tournament but impressed me more during the OMHA Showcase. I mainly noted Marcus for his fluid skating in his 6'1 frame. He seemed to be able to shift, change direction, and move laterally really well, which is the primary reason why he caught my eye. Even when handling the puck, Magri could operate effectively while in motion and had plenty of moments of skirting checks with slick little moves. Marcus had his fair share of scoring chances, but the physical tools and abilities were what impressed me most.
