EVENT 2025 CCM Challenge
Ouellette’s success at this event centered around his work ethic and physicality, all while putting up 3 points in the 2 games he played. He’s one of the better body checkers in the entire draft, particularly on the forecheck where he took strong angles towards defenders below the goal line before cancelling them out along the boards to create a turnover. He’s a pretty efficient cycle player as well, flashing strong puck protection skills which allowed him to extend his touches and create sustained pressure in the offensive zone. Allowed of his offensive chances consisted of him attacking the front of the net off-puck, winning inside positioning on a defender and looking to pounce on rebounds in tight. The offensive ceiling isn’t super high but it’s very easy to picture him as an effective bottom-six forward at the next level.

Game Information M18 AAA Québec: Séminaire St-François Blizzard vs Trois-Rivières Estacades
Ouellette plays a much heavier game than his age would suggest, winning a majority of his puck battles against older and larger competition and proving to be an effective cycle player. He was able to extend his touches along the perimeter in the offensive zone using strong puck protection technique, using one arm to fend off defenders and connecting on low risk short area passes to keep cycle plays alive. He was also quick to hound the puck after a loss of possession in the offensive zone by applying pressure to defenders and looking to win pucks back.
