He showed good north-south power at times even with pass receptions in motion that didn’t work out. His ability to power through a gap to get to better shot space or use that speed off the rush with a delayed forehand release was what I wanted to see from him. With altered foot angles to open his posture and adjustments off puck in offensive situations made him a more dangerous player. I think there were spots defensively where I would have liked him to be more intentional and use that same awareness to anticipate pick offs and clog lanes but I’ve seen him be more active that way in league games before.
