EVENT 2025 QMJHL Cup
I think Dupré did what Dupré does best here, and that’s bring speed and physicality to positively impact play on a shift-to-shift basis. He’s a very effective forechecker who was able to close in quickly defenders, either forcing rushed decisions on retrievals or remove them from the puck with a body check. He’s an effective rush attacker due to his straight-line speed and in-motion shooting mechanics, often taking drop passes at the top of the zone, attacking downhill and firing hard shots on net that challenged goaltenders consistently.

EVENT 2024 CCM Challenge
Dupré was one of the more effective forwards for the Phénix throughout the tournament thanks in large part to his fast and physical north-south style of play. He can get going from a standstill rather quickly, which allows him to win plenty of races to loose pucks and makes him a handful to deal with when he’s attacking downhill. His work on the penalty kill was extremely strong, as he was getting his stick and body into lanes while earning himself a few breakaways due to his speed and shrewd defensive work. His work on the forecheck was notable as well as he combined his high-end acceleration with physical play to close in quickly on defenders and force them to rush plays on their retrievals or create loose pucks with a hard body check. Most of the damage he did offensively came in transition where he would attack with speed down the wing and shoot for rebounds while in motion looking to create a chance for his linemates out front.

EVENT 2024 Hockey Québec U16 Summer Camp
Dupré’s performance here left little doubt in my mind that he was one of the strongest kids at this camp. He was using his frame in the offensive zone to punish defenders on the forecheck to create separation of puck and body and regain possession. With the puck on his stick he was really difficult to contain along the perimeter by using strong puck protection tactics to shield the puck and working through the hands of defenders. There were even some instances of Dupré winning battles against multiple defenders at a time, which in turn kept cycle plays alive and allowed his team some prolonged puck possession in the offensive zone. I thought he showed some strong instances of speed off the rush, using stutter steps to get a step on defenders, dip his shoulder and drive the net for a chance.
