EVENT 2025 WHL Draft Final Evaluation
Strengths - IQ, puck support, shot
Development Opportunities - Taking charge, individual risk
You don’t find prospects very often in my books who approach the game like Reid. He’s an elite complimentary player who defers to teammates more often than he should for how talented he is. He supports pucks, rotates possession, uses his size and length to be a positive linemate in all ways, but doesn’t often play as the true main character on his line as often as you’d like. His skills are worthy of U18 this season and there’s no doubt he was excellent but to unlock the next evolution of his play I hope to see more driving into the middle of the ice and more confidence to create individually out of nothing. He projects as a top line WHL winger with unlockable upside.

EVENT Graham Tuer Challenge
I think Reid was one of the best skating forwards I saw today from a standpoint of maximum push in each stride. He really can be explosive in open ice when he wants to. Each push garners significant power as he propels through lateral pushes and dragging pucks to the extension of his reach. The ability to drag with control at his reach opens up new worlds of trouble against transitioning defenders. He finished with 5 points in 2 games to lead the offensive charge for the Wheat Kings. I look forward to watching Brandon again.
