EVENT 2024 Whitby Silver Stick
Hinde stood out for using his physical attributes to impact the play. He's a powerful skater who relied on his frame and reach to protect the puck from defenders and win lanes to the net. Tyler had many impressive sequences where he combined all these abilities, exploded down the wing, gained a step on defenders, and drove toward the interior for a quality chance on target. He recorded a handful of points that I could elaborate on, but his physical tools and how he leveraged them to attack the goal was my main takeaway.

EVENT 2024 Toronto Titans Tournament
Hinde impressed me with his physical tools and how he leveraged those to drive positive results. He's an explosive and powerful skater who used his frame and reach well to protect the puck. Tyler had a few nice sequences where he controlled the puck on the rush, entered the offensive zone with a full head of steam, and then created a quality chance relying on this theme of using his reach to put pucks around defenders. Hinde was ambitious with the puck on his stick, looking to move to the middle of the ice, drag pucks around sticks, and try to spark offensive chances. He scored a really nice goal in the games I watched, forcing a turnover on the penalty kill, giving himself a breakaway, and ripping a shot short side by the goalie. The Toronto Titans Tournament was my first chance to see a lot of these Red Wings skaters, and many of them made strong first impressions; Hinde was one that I added a star beside his name to keep an eye out for.

Game Information GTHL U16 Playoffs
With Hinde, I always admire the ambition to attack the net, and this game was no different. On almost every offensive zone sequence, Tyler tried to find ways to drive the scoring areas, showing an eagerness to drive in and try to make something happen. It didn't always work out, but just the constant hunger to attack the middle lane stood out in this game of Hinde's play against the Jr Canadiens. Hinde had many chances in this game and eventually found the back of the net, finishing net front on the powerplay.
