Game Information HEO Playoffs
Usually, when I watch Myers, I always come away with plenty of notes on Mullins attacking off the wing and getting chances off the rush, and while he had a few in this game, that certainly wasn't the primary theme. I thought he thrived down low in the zone, protecting pucks along the wall, working well off the cycle, being hard on pucks on the forecheck, and just playing a bit more of a "physical" game. He scored a goal through one of these down-low sequences, working out of the corner, attacking the net, and tucking the puck around a sprawling goaltender. I'm currently working through my short list of final names to potentially include in my top 100, and Will's play over the season has more than earned his way into that conversation and he's someone I'm going to take another close look or two before locking things in.

Game Information November HEO Check-In
Across the two games I went to, Mullins notched four goals, so evidently, his ability to get to the scoring areas and convert was the key theme of my notes. Especially off the rush, Will was always looking to attack toward the slot, navigate around defenders, and try to penetrate for quality chances. He can handle the puck well in motion, giving him all the tools to weave in and out of defenders and get to the middle. Will scored in many different ways, but his ability to get a powerful shot off with a quick drag and release was most impressive, as Muillins was a shooting threat from all over the zone. He showed some nice passing sequences, but the ability to get into scoring positions and finish was the main element that stood out. I've always found this Myers forward group to be a bit of a committee, but Mullins has been separating himself a bit more as the primary offensive contributor the more and more I watch them.

Game Information HEO U16: Ottawa Myers vs. Eastern Ontario Wild
Mullins was the player I thought elevated his play the most relative to my initial view of this Myers team. On so many shifts, Will was the one controlling the play, dictating the pace of the game, and being difficult for the Wild to contain. Time and time again, he was transporting the puck up and down the ice, playing with pace to blaze by Wild defenders in the neutral zone and control the puck over the offensive blue line. I thought he showed an impressive combination of quickness, tactical puck touches, and smart decision-making that all worked in tandem to help him dodge defenders and advance play up ice. He created a few scoring chances, putting all these tools together, but he mainly added value by controlling play in the neutral zone, maintaining possession, and entering the offensive zone, making him one of Myers' leaders in transition.
