EVENT 2025 QMJHL Cup
Jasmin’s success at this tournament came through playing to his strengths, utilizing his size and reach advantage to kill plays and move pucks up ice quickly. I noted down a few times sequences where he was able to thwart 1v1 rushes, maintaining a tight gap while defending off the rush and knocking puck off opponents sticks who were trying to get around him. He had a few solid puck-moving sequences as well, keeping his head up as he moved play up ice, drawing primary pressure towards him then slipping a short area outlet to a teammate in close proximity which lead to some controlled entries in transition.

EVENT 2024 CCM Challenge
Jasmin played a simple yet effective game here that allowed him to earn a regular shift on the Vikings blueline and contribute in a positive manner. He was using his reach and physicality below the goal line in the defensive zone to consistently kill plays by leaning on puck-carriers and angling them off the puck before making swift short-area passes to teammates to help facilitate the breakout. I liked his ability to stay calm under pressure while going back for pucks, keeping his head up as he came out of his turns and executing quick outlets up the ice that facilitated zone entries. There were moments of awkward puck-handling for throughout, and while he has room to grow in this area, I did think he was still quite accurate on his outlet passes.

EVENT 2024 Hockey Québec U16 Summer Camp
While I didn’t have a ton of notes on Jasmin, I came to respect what he brought to the table towards the end of camp. He has a really intriguing toolkit to go along with junior-hockey size, although I think it’s his instincts that make him the most projectable. I thought he did a great job of using his stick to either break up passes in transition or to poke check opposing forwards trying to gain the blueline. In the defensive zone he was keeping his head on a swivel while defending the front of the net, clearing bodies out of his goaltenders’ line of sight and getting himself into lanes to block cross-ice feeds.
